So I dressed in paint clothes today and never even picked up a paint brush.
Oh well, that's what tomorrow's for. Today was more of a digital day.
I worked on some new print designs (from bed! my favorite), changed some things on this here blog, photographed & edited some new things, and listed them in our shop. I also did what I'd like to think of as my first original DIY! I'm sure it's not incredibly original at all, but I thought it up all on my own and it was fun :-) I'm not exactly finished with it though...
I'm constantly recycling paper products and I never had a designated/practical place to put it all. It usually just piled up on the floor some place between the studio & the living room. So today I took a good size plastic bin, clipped a bunch of different images & words from magazines (I slowly did that part throughout the past week), and clued them to the bin. Simple, I know.
My favorite ^ magazine clipping find so far is "Tree Hugging." Haha.
Now I mentioned I wasn't finished. I still have a little more to cover and I ran out of cool magazine material. I also may do the inside of the bin as well. And I'm definitly going to varnish it when it's complete so it actually lasts. So there ya have it. My recyling bin!
I drank a lot of green tea today, as usual.
And I hung one of my new creations on my living room wall!
Here's another one It's so simple, but it helps me so much. And I hope it will help others. Discouragement can come often and easily, especially to anyone involved in the arts. I push it away more times than I'd like to admit, but at least I don't give in to it. I'm way too determined.
It'll be another productive day tomorrow, especially because I'm staying in tomorrow night (Friday) and John's still away on his trip (he comes home Saturday night though!) So I better put this time to good use. Stay tuned!
